Never Give Up
If I would read or listen to the news today, (I’ve been doing this less and less, but if I did), I would learn about reversals to most of the pro-life measures that were put in place over the last few years. I would learn about the plans being drawn up to bring about the closure of ministries like ours. I would become aware of the lies that are manufactured about us—not new ones, just more boldly delivered ones. And I might be tempted to believe it’s hopeless except…
Now is not the time to be paralyzed or filled with discouragement and fears of the future. This is the time to pray, speak, and act courageously—with God’s strength and wisdom. The story of Caleb has been inspiring to me lately. Despite “giants” in the land, I want to be a person of a different spirit. One that wholeheartedly follows God believing He will never fail us. Do you want that, too?
As you come alongside Crossroads with your support and prayers, together we will continue to fulfill our calling to stand for life by reaching out with compassion to both the mother and the child.
And as we do, we will experience the hand of the Lord at work. Since my last letter to you – here’s what your support has accomplished: Last week a client accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Another client is making an adoption plan for her baby. A woman, who had no diapers, received all she needed. A Bible study is helping a client be released from living with shame. The benefits of waiting until marriage was presented to groups of students. Prayers were laid down for clients and prayers were answered.
God is working! He has great plans for Crossroads and our clients, this nation, and for you. Nothing that happens surprises Him and none of His plans can be stopped. He is the Lord Almighty and we can trust His process and His timing.
What we can’t do is give up. Never give up. There are many needs in the lives of those around us. The fields are ripe for harvest. Women and men need to hear about the reason for the hope that we have. The unborn are waiting to fulfill their God-given purpose.
Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Bless you, for your prayers, your financial gifts, and for volunteering in many different ways. With perseverance, together we can change the future—one life at a time.
