A Redemption Journey
Bart's* life has taken a noticeable turn since he entered the doors of Crossroads with his pregnant girlfriend. They were both excited about this pregnancy. But Bart carried a heavy burden from his past—a previous girlfriend had terminated a pregnancy without his consent, leaving him devastated.
In our conversations, Bart revealed his struggles with faith, overwhelming stress, and poor life choices. The weight he carried was very evident on his face the first few times we met together. Yet, as we embarked on a transformative post-abortion Bible study, a glimmer of hope emerged.
In a recent appointment, I asked Bart if we could pray together. He agreed and spontaneously prayed a prayer recommitting his life to Jesus. Since then, he's faced his challenges head-on—confronting anxiety, depression, and the pain of the abortion and how to forgive. But through it all, he wears a radiant smile—a testament to the presence of Christ in his life.
