A Founding Father's Wisdom
Alexander Hamilton, U.S. founding father, army officer, lawyer, and politician wrote in his paper The Farmer Refuted, “The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for among old parchments or musty records. They are written as with a sunbeam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of divinity itself; and can never be erased or obscured by mortal power.”
Life is a sacred right that is under threat and so are pregnancy centers like Crossroads. Being created in His image is a truth that cannot be denied or re-written.
When we consider what we as a pregnancy center ministry—and you, our supporters—are up against sometimes the odds seem staggering. Perhaps it is best to roll up our sleeves, find out what we can offer, and push on. If we did that, we might be surprised at the results.
Let’s start by praying! Always a good idea because we advance on our knees. It stands to reason that the more we pray, the more effective we will be in reaching those we see. We are here to point to Jesus Christ and what He offers to everyone who comes to Him. No, we won’t be in the halls of Congress—that battle is for others, people whom we will pray for and support. Instead, ours is on the front lines, where life decisions are made.
Thank you for your support – it makes all the difference.
