Ministry Updates and Client Stories

Volunteer Openings

Listed below are some positions we need to be filled. If you are interested, please contact Tiffani Whitsel, Director of Client Services at 814-542-2880 or email her at tiffani@cpcforlife.org.

  • Client Advocate for Altoona (female) - This position is for a volunteer to meet one-on-one with our clients. Crossroads provides free training and support. An application is required.

  • Client Advocate for Mifflintown (female) - This position is for a volunteer to meet one-on-one with our clients. Crossroads provides free training and support. An application is required. **Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.

  • Male Client Advocate for Altoona and Mt Union offices. This position is for a male volunteer who can meet one-on-one with the partners of our female clients. The frequency of this position is based on need. Crossroads provides free training and support throughout. An application is required. 

  • Board Members from Blair or Mifflin County - The Governing Board of Crossroads Pregnancy Center exists to support the ministry as a Christian service to individuals in crisis pregnancies and to oversee services, policies, practices, and goals for Crossroads with the aim to provide assistance and alternatives to abortion. We currently have 3 openings on our Board and we like to have sufficient representation from each county we serve. We also continue to seek Church Liaison Volunteers for each church in the counties we serve. Crossroads seeks individual volunteers from area churches to keep their congregations and Pastors informed and connected to the ministry. A Church Liaison Volunteer should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be an active member of his/her church, and be committed to the pro-life position.
