Update from Cindy

An update from Cindy, our Executive Director, on the passing of our volunteer Medical Director.

Good afternoon everyone. At least its afternoon for me. It is April 21st. And I hope everything is well with you. Here at Crossroads, we are pretty sad today because Dr. Steven Solomon, our medical director for the past seven years, has passed away and has gone on to be with the Lord. And our prayers are certainly with his wife and his children and his family--those that are closest to him. He was an amazing man who had such passion for life and for helping others and he just dedicated his life to service and we were extremely blessed to have him as our medical director for all these years. He always seemed to have a heart for the Mount Union area and wanted to bring his services there. For one reason or another it just didn't work out but we were able to tell him just recently that we have bought a building there and plan to bring those Medical Services there. and I know that please him and so that is our plan to do that. And to even dedicate that clinic to his memory and his honor. So please just pray for that family. 

And things here are still progressing. Our client service directors are still meeting our clients virtually, over the phone and videos...things like that, which is good. In fact, you know they’ve been able to.... sometimes the clients open up a little bit more there More when they're on a phone rather than sitting face-to-face. So we’ve been able to share a lot with them.

We are the process of bringing on a new volunteer Medical Director Dr. Shaun Jester, A pro-life Christian man who has a heart for this work. And so we are thanking God for him. And we ask that you pray as we put all this together and start again. We do have 5 ultrasounds scheduled this week so please pray for those that are coming in. Pray for our Nurse Manager and the work that she does. And pray for me because I’m kind of going back to meeting with clients, which is something that I've always loved and as executive director have not had a lot of hands-on to do, so prayers are appreciated. And I also want you to know that we are praying for you. If there is any specific way or maybe you just want someone to pray with, just call any of our offices and we would be happy to do that. Until this thing lifts, I pray that the Lord blesses you, and keeps you and makes his face to shine on you. And brings you peace.
