Latest Ultrasound Campaign News
About 3 weeks ago I sent a letter to our supporters in Mifflin/Juniata Counties about a wonderful opportunity for Crossroads. An anonymous donor offered a $10,000 matching grant so that we could purchase an ultrasound machine for our new office in Mifflintown. I explained in that letter how we often feel like a “David” to the “Goliaths” of the pro-abortion industry and without the support of our donors, we can’t compete. I asked if you would help us get the “stone for our sling” to win the battle for life. I have to be honest, I had my doubts. Would we be able to raise the money by September 30th? A few of us on staff began to make contingency plans for the “what ifs”. But...God doesn’t need contingency plans.
All I can do today is ask the Lord to forgive me for not trusting Him enough! Today, I want to share some great news. You, our donors, didn’t just give us one stone—you gave us many stones! As of today, we have raised approximately $43,000 to add to the $10,000 grant. AMAZING!
So what does this mean? First, it means that you believe in the sanctity of life as much as we do. It means that together we can fight against evil and overcome it with good. It means that the Lord knows exactly who He intends to save from abortion and He is equipping us to be ready when needed. It means that we can purchase a new machine for Mifflintown and a new machine to replace the eight-year-old one we have in Lewistown with one equipped with the newest technology.
I can’t express enough the amount of gratitude we have toward those of you who gave, those who pray for us regularly, and those who stand with us in the fight for life. If we receive any more donations toward the matching grant, we will use the funds to cover the costs of the first 20 ultrasounds which costs $2,000. Anything after that we will apply toward our mortgage on our Mount Union office so we can be that much closer to becoming debt-free and ready to do the next BIG thing the Lord has planned.
Thank you. I hope this update has encouraged you to know that whatever your needs are today, we serve a God who supplies. He is Jehovah Jireh! Forever enough, always enough, more than enough.
ALL For His Glory,
Cindy Mansberger
