Letter from the Executive Director: Defenders of Life by Cindy Mansberger

It’s a BIG task. We wrap our arms in protection around mothers and their unborn children to save them from the onslaught of an ideology that declares their baby to be disposable. It says that because of the hardship she’s facing, she will be doomed if she doesn’t. She’s afraid, feels alone, overwhelmed, and wants it all to go away.

But when we come around her holding out hope and encouragement, support and answers, she can think, breathe, and take the time to make a good decision. And when I say “we” I mean every one of you who pray, volunteer, and give financially to Crossroads Pregnancy Center. Together, “we” can shine His light on the shadows of deception and confusion to reveal the beauty of life.

The truth is, babies were born – and will be born soon – because we all worked together. And there are so many other ways “we” are here for her…and him through the many services we provide. As we move forward as a ministry, we are looking at new ways to reach potential clients through an updated marketing plan which will reach the most vulnerable, increasing services like our E3, and adding more staff hours to be available for when she needs us.

So, if you haven’t already, we’re asking you to join our family of monthly supporters and become a Defender of Life. Monthly support not only grows our support base; it also assists us in our stewardship and financial planning, so that we can grow wisely. Monthly supporters can give on a monthly or quarterly basis – it’s up to you. So is the amount. This is a commitment, telling us that- if finances allow- you plan to give a specified amount regularly. It’s nothing fancy, but it makes a profound difference in the life of this ministry. When becoming a Defender, you will receive regular updates and stories of what’s happening in the centers.
